Who is Eligible for Coverage?

Opt-Out Program

Declination of Healthcare Coverage

All benefit-eligible employees may elect to opt-out of medical insurance coverage during the annual Open Enrollment period – you must meet with a Benefits Counselor to opt-out and provide a completed Declination of Healthcare Coverage Affidavit.

Medical Plan Opt-Out Credit

Did you know? By declining Medical Coverage through DCPS, you are eligible to receive a credit of up to $1,200 annualized!

Note: If you choose to opt-out of medical coverage, you are still eligible for all other benefits.
